Toddler Play (Wednesday 3:30pm - 5:00pm)

This class is geared to children who are between 15 and 23 months on September 1st. This class offers a stimulating and supportive first-group experience for you and your toddler. Our parent-child class —designed for mom, dad or grandparent— is a gentle and fun introduction to the co-op preschool environment. Parent education is offered on the go by way of observations, weekly questions and while you meet other parents and discover your child as they play and learn. For more information about parent participation, please check the family commitments page.

One teacher, twelve children and their parents make up the class.


Sprouts (Tuesday 12pm - 2:15pm)

This class is geared to children who are 2 years old on or by September 1st. The class is designed to gently introduce children to school routine with a circle time, snack time, art projects and songs based on a weekly theme. Parents attend with their child(ren) each week and rotate between the play stations in the classroom. Parents participate in a group discussion every other week (a break-out meeting during class). Explorers (T, Th 9am - 11:30am)

This class is geared to children who are 3 years old on or by September 1st. The children are encouraged to explore the learning environment and develop social skills. Parents work in the classroom once a week to supervise activities, socialization and problem solving. The children participate in hands-on art, music, science and cooking projects that are generally based on a weekly theme. Explorers enjoy special classroom visitors throughout the year such as the Insect Lab, Light Fantastic, the San Carlos Fire Department, a Petting Farm and more. Parents attend a parent ed meeting on their workday from 11:30 to 12:30pm while their children attend a supervised lunch bunch. 

One teacher, twenty-four children and twelve workday parents make up the class, establishing a ratio of 1 adult for every 2 children.

Pre-K (M, W, F 9am - 12:30pm)

The Pre-K class is geared to children who will be attending Kindergarten the following year. Children must be 4 years old on or by September 1st. The children are encouraged to explore the learning environment and develop social skills. Each week, by way of fun and interactive circle times, small groups and learning centers children are introduced to numbers, handwriting and other concepts in preparation for Kindergarten.

Parents work in the classroom once a week to supervise activities, socialization and problem solving. The children participate in hands-on art, math, music, science and cooking projects that are generally based on a monthly theme. Field trips are planned for each month throughout the school year. These may include the Webb Ranch, Peninsula Gymnastics, Trader Joe's,  Hidden Villa Farm and more. Parents attend a parent ed meeting on their workday from 12:30 to 1:30 pm while their children attend a supervised lunch bunch.

One teacher, twenty-four children and eight workday parents make up the class, establishing a ratio of 1 adult to 3 children.
